My Conflict Management Style

My Conflict Management Style is Collaborative. According to the meaning of my management strategy, I can transform disagreements into original art. I can find creative answers to issues that nobody else can solve (tryinteract.com, 2022). I am attentive to the interests that others have and, wherever feasible, I include them in the steps that I take. Despite the fact that I don’t have numerous shortcomings, watch out for getting distracted and neglecting my requirements. It’s sometimes important to go back to the beginning. I love to stay with people and encourage them to state their own opinion and then decide what to do in any situation.

Case Study I: Stacy

In the first case, Stacey helped John with a job in the spiritual services which proves that Stacey is a kind-hearted person and loves to help people with the most possible outcomes. The problem arises when John wants to give a gift to Stacey (HART CITY, 2023). This problem is raised because Stacey is such a person who does not want to get rewarded for what she did. This shows that she is a humble person and she also loves to see people smiling and setting in higher standards in life. In my opinion, she has to make John understand the policy and also advise him not to give her any gifts (Regan, 2016). The reason behind this solution is, as Stacey did this for the sake of only helping and making John stable and not for the sake of getting any return gift.

Case Study II: James

In this second case, Mr. Dan insults very hard to James. He also calls James by the wrong name which proves that he is insulting James and is not much bothered about his career. Dan confesses that James does not have a good idea and also is not an organized person (HART CITY, 2023). He also insults him by telling that he is not even a person to take care of paint to dry but he is given such a big task in a company. James thinks that he is insulting him and also insulting his career (Angela, 2020). Therefore, in my opinion, he should make his ears so much sharp that the words of Dan do not affect him and he can do his job very well.

Evaluation of my conflict management style

In case Study I:

Strength

  • Helping someone is the most beautiful task on the earth, but doing it for the sake of a return gift can ruin the beautifulness of the task.
  • Define the character of Stacey in that she is an unconditional helper.

Weakness

  • May John be offended as he has already bought the gift. This can ruin the friendship between John and Stacey which may affect their personal life.
  • Therefore, Stacey will further be scared of helping someone of the fear of getting a return gift.

In case Study II:

Strength

  • This will help James to be stronger from within and fight back against any negativity without touching or confronting it.
  • Courage and Bravery will also be developed through this strategy.

Weakness

  • James may start disrespecting Dan and can talk rudely in many cases.
  • James can make this strategy a behavior that can be effective in Infront of other persons also.

Turning Limitations into Strengths

Case I

John may be offended but still is manageable to handle by making him understand the purpose of refusing the gift and also Stacey will not be scared of helping others.

Case II

James needs to be counseled or made to understand the requirement of the strategy and made him mature for using the strategy. Therefore, he will not be using it at a place where it is not required.
